Family Tributes Make This Book Extra Special!

A book full of love for her adored family!

A book full of love for her adored family!

The newest Stories to Last book, privately published for the family, tells the story of a woman brought up in Oakland, California, where her mother was also raised and her grandfather owned the local corner store. As a girl, she falls in love with horses. Attending Cal, she falls in love with teaching. After seven years of teaching elementary school children, she makes the daring change to teach abroad, first in Spain and then Japan. Back home, she falls in love again, this time, it leads to a wonderful, lifelong marriage full of outdoor activity, travel, friends and two wonderful daughters, then five amazing grandsons.

It may sound ordinary, but in the final tribute section of the book, with stories and messages from her daughters, sons-in-law, five grandchildren and her husband, we learn that it has been her strong, enduring love that has been the glue for the family. In her generous spirit, active listening and support, each person separately declared that she made them, in some way, better people.

How’s that for extraordinary?
